KazNU and the University of Turkic States have agreed to develop joint projects
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Rector of the International University of Turkic States Bahodir Turayev and discussed issues of expanding cooperation.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that the partnership between the two universities contributes to strengthening scientific and educational ties between the Turkic states.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has partnerships with 25 universities in Uzbekistan. Currently, about 220 Uzbek students study at the educational institution. On March 30, 2026, an agreement was reached to establish the Al-Farabi Scientific and Educational Center on the basis of Bukhara State University. The new center will become an important platform for studying the legacy of the great thinker, developing joint scientific and educational projects and strengthening humanitarian cooperation between the countries. Therefore, KazNU intends to develop cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan, and the University of the Turkic States occupies a special place in this regard",- said the rector.

Bahodir Turaev, in turn, noted that KazNU is one of the leading universities in Central Asia and expressed interest in strengthening academic and scientific ties. He also stressed the willingness to expand cooperation in the areas of organizing scientific internships for students and young scientists, developing joint educational programs and implementing international projects.
