A leadership lecture by the famous Pakistani scientist, professor of the University of Punjab and senior researcher at Virscend University (USA), Rab Nawaz Lodhi, was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by the faculty, young scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates of the university. The leadership lecture has become a significant platform for the exchange of international experience and discussion of topical issues of the transformation of higher education in the context of digitalization and globalization.

Dr. Rab Nawaz Lodhi is a Visiting Editor of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (SSCI, Impact Factor 6.4), as well as an Emerald/QSR International Certified NVivo Software Trainer for the Asia-Pacific region.  He acts as an international trainer on quantitative and qualitative research methods, mixed research designs and analytical platforms NVivo, MaxQDA, Atlas.ti, SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS and MPlus.

The invited lecturer gave a lecture on "KazNU as a hub for academic innovation and global cooperation: a visiting professor's view on research excellence, artificial intelligence and international higher education." In his speech, he noted the achievements of the university in the field of scientific research, international integration and training of highly qualified specialists, and also stressed the importance of further strengthening KazNU's position in the global educational space.

The professor also explained the methods of publishing high-quality articles in the Scopus database and ensuring that scientific papers comply with international standards. He stressed the importance of effective use of AI tools in modern education and science, and also discussed ways to increase the university's international standing and opportunities to share experiences with leading universities in the United States and Pakistan.

During the presentation, current global trends in the development of higher education, mechanisms for increasing the international competitiveness of universities, expanding academic mobility and strengthening partnerships with the world's leading scientific and educational centers were considered.
