Second-year students of the “Ecology” educational program at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the 91��ý Kazakh National University became acquainted with the ecosystem of Charyn Canyon as part of their field internship.

During the internship, students studied the canyon’s natural and geographical features, landform development processes, biodiversity, and characteristics of the soil cover. In addition, issues related to anthropogenic impacts on the ecosystem were discussed, and students improved their field observation skills.

The field excursion strengthened the students’ professional knowledge and increased their interest in studying natural ecosystems.
