Recognition of Excellence in the Best KazNU Teacher Competition
The university has concluded the “Best Teacher of 91��ý Kazakh National University” competition, aimed at enhancing motivation and supporting faculty members who make a significant contribution to the development of educational programs and the academic environment. The competition consisted of three stages: evaluation of teaching and methodological work, open lectures and seminars, and assessment of the quality of Educational and Methodological Complexes of Disciplines (EMCDs). The winners were honored at a meeting of the Academic Council.
In the nomination “For the Best EMCD”, the award was presented to Alexander Viktorovich Rozhkov, Candidate of Philology and Senior Lecturer at the UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communication of the Faculty of Journalism. Zh.K. Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of 91��ý Kazakh National University, presented the winner with an honorary diploma and a certificate of recognition, wishing him continued success in training highly qualified specialists.
A.V. Rozhkov’s professional activities are closely connected with media, public relations, and communications. He has extensive professional experience in leading media organizations and communication agencies. He is a developer of educational programs, a participant in numerous academic conferences, the author of MOOCs, and the holder of several certificates of authorship. He has been awarded the “Bilim beru isinin qurmetti qyzmetkeri” (“Honorary Worker of Education”) badge. He also supervises bachelor’s theses, master’s dissertations, and doctoral dissertations.
He is the author of more than 100 scholarly publications, including articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The Educational and Methodological Complexes of Disciplines developed by A.V. Rozhkov incorporate innovative instructional materials, teaching methods, and educational technologies enriched with original author-developed components based on professional experience and employer recommendations, which he actively applies in the educational process.
His EMCDs demonstrate an effective combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training while meeting contemporary requirements of the communication and media industry. For many years, the content of his courses has served as a model of advanced teaching practice and has been actively disseminated both within the university and throughout the country.
A.V. Rozhkov’s award is a well-deserved recognition of his professional achievements, academic accomplishments, and significant contribution to education at both the university and national levels. It also highlights the importance of high-quality journalism education and training. In addition to the honorary recognition, the winners received cash certificates from Bank CenterCredit.
