A double-degree program will be developed with Xinjiang Medical University
At the international conference "Education – Science – Production – Application" held in Urumqi, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Xinjiang Medical University signed an important agreement.

As part of the agreement, the two universities will implement joint double-degree programs at the master's and doctoral levels. This initiative will strengthen scientific ties between the two countries and enable the training of highly qualified medical professionals.

The large-scale event brought together representatives of ministries, leading universities, and scientific organizations from China and Central Asian countries. At the plenary session, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulzat Kobenova, emphasized the importance of expanding academic partnerships between Kazakhstan and China.

During the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Acting First Vice-Rector of KazNU, Samgat Yermekbayev, gave a presentation. He highlighted the university's achievements in education and innovation, as well as the establishment of joint research laboratories with Chinese universities and the promotion of academic mobility for students and faculty.
The event also featured an exhibition on Xinjiang's educational opportunities under the "Study in China" program.
