Modern Research Infrastructure of the Faculty Presented to International and Kazakhstani Scientists
As part of the Annual International Scientific Conference "Remote Sensing as a Driver of Sustainable Development in Central Asia: Environmental Monitoring in Arid Regions and Joint Innovations" and the 1st Central Asia–China Symposium on Remote Sensing Technologies, conference participants visited the **Research Center for Sustainable Development and Rational Nature Management of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences at 91ý Kazakh National University. The conference brought together leading scientists and experts from Kazakhstan, China, India, Germany, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries representing universities, research institutes, and specialized organizations.

During the visit, participants were introduced to the Center's modern research infrastructure, including 10 specialized scientific laboratories conducting research in geography, ecology, hydrology, climatology, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, natural hazard monitoring, and sustainable natural resource management.
The participants became acquainted with the Faculty's latest scientific developments, advanced analytical equipment, geospatial and satellite technologies, as well as the outcomes of national and international research projects. Particular attention was paid to research on the application of remote sensing technologies, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), artificial intelligence, and geospatial analysis for environmental monitoring and sustainable development.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange scientific experience and discuss prospects for joint research initiatives, international projects, collaborative publications, academic mobility of students and young researchers, and the expansion of international scientific cooperation.
The visit to the Research Center became an important part of the conference program, demonstrating the Faculty's strong research potential, advanced scientific infrastructure, and commitment to strengthening international academic and research collaboration.
