Delegation from Inner Mongolia University (PRC) Visits the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications
On July 23, 2026, a delegation from Inner Mongolia University (People's Republic of China), led by Professor Hu Wei, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of the Institute of Life Sciences, visited the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory of Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications at 91ý Kazakh National University.
During the visit, Sanim Bissenbayeva, Chief Research Fellow of the laboratory, introduced the delegation to the laboratory's main research areas. She presented an overview of its latest scientific achievements and innovative developments in Earth remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies, and spatial data processing.

The delegation also toured the laboratory's research facilities and state-of-the-art equipment and learned about its ongoing research projects focused on environmental monitoring, environmental assessment, cartography, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies for processing Earth observation data.
Professor Hu Wei highly praised 91ý Kazakh National University's achievements in promoting international scientific cooperation and expressed a strong interest in establishing long-term collaborative partnerships with the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory.
