On July 30, 2026, a working meeting was held at the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technology and Application of 91��ý Kazakh National University with the leadership of the Almaty City Department of State Architectural and Construction Control.

During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for further cooperation and the implementation of joint projects aimed at integrating advanced geospatial technologies into the field of architectural and construction supervision and urban infrastructure management. 

Particular attention was paid to the development of a digital twin of the urban environment, the creation of intelligent management and construction monitoring systems, as well as the application of remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for the assessment and monitoring of landslide-prone areas in the city of Almaty.

Following the meeting, the representatives of the Department were introduced to the Laboratory's research activities, scientific infrastructure, state-of-the-art developments, and ongoing research projects in the fields of remote sensing, geographic information systems, artificial intelligence, and unmanned aerial technologies.
