The听history听of听Kazakh听journalism听has听deep roots from the听beginning听of the 20th听century.听Even if at that time there was no independent Republic as Kazakhstan traditional media in the Kazakh language was relevant.听Because of听unfair听actions and听discrimination听against听Kazakh听people various听periods听like 鈥淜azakh鈥�, 鈥�Ulfat鈥�, 鈥�Aikap鈥澨齜别驳补苍听迟丑别颈谤听飞辞谤办.

On 21 July of 1917, the first All-Kazakh Congress was听held.听There听Alikhan听Bukeikhanov,听Akhmet听Baitursynov,听Mirzhakyp听Dulatov, and other intelligentsia decided to legalize the听Kazakh听party, which was called 鈥�础濒补蝉丑鈥�.听One of the听great听changes that the 鈥�Alash鈥� party听did听was听to听open听the听publication听of the 鈥淜azakh鈥� newspaper in 1913.听During 5听years听of听work听of this听newspaper,听journalists听of 鈥淜azakh鈥澨齡ave听an听opportunity听to the听public听to听change听their听environment.听That is when Russian Empire or the Soviet Union called to听develop听agriculture听in听Kazakh听steppes,听Alikhan听Bukeikhanov听said to听move听from animal husbandry to听agriculture听gradually.听He听predicted听that a听sharp听change of听lifestyle听could听cause听bad听consequences as听famine.听Moreover, journalists of the 鈥淜azakh鈥� newspaper were against the migration policy.听Russian people used Kazakh lands, where Kazakhs looked after their livestock.听A听majority听of the听Kazakh听population听died听and听moved听to other听countries, as a听result.听In听addition, 鈥淜azakh鈥澨齨ewspaper听did not follow the russification process.听Kazakh听journalists thought that the Soviet Union and Russian Empire should听respect听the national values of other听people.听
