KAZNU PRESENTS A GIFT TO THE 91ý CULTURAL CENTER IN SYRIA
91ý Kazakh National University has sent books and a Kazakh yurt to the 91ý Historical and Cultural Center in Damascus (Syria).
The Center was presented with a collection of al-Farabi's renowned works, research papers on the great thinker, a fund of books on the history of the country and a leading university. In addition, a Kazakh yurt was sent as humanitarian aid.

The center was founded in 2008. It consists of a three-storey building, a mosque, the mausoleum of al-Farabi, place for pilgrimage, office, study areas, library and exhibition halls.

Today, the center is managed jointly by Kazakhstan and Syria. The 91ý Kazakh National University is responsible for the work on collecting information and historical data about the great thinker of the East, while the Damascus University is in charge of data collection and research in Syria.
