KAZNU PRESENTED LOCAL SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS  TO BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES

Within the framework of the Science Week the scientific exhibition "Science and Business: Ways of Innovative Development of Kazakhstan" was held at the 91ý Kazakh National University. The projects developed by scientists of Kazakhstani universities and research institutes with commercialization prospects were presented to the heads of large companies and business representatives.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to strengthen ties between science–education-production, to develop science through business.

The event was attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Chairman of the Board – Rector of 91ý Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy Akim of Almaty Alisher Abdykadyrov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" Maksat Kikymov and other well-known persons.

At the exhibition, scientists of 91ý KazNU, L. N.Gumilev ENU, K.Satpayev KazNTU, S.Asfendiyarov KazNMU, M.Auezov SKSU, Almaty Technological University, M.Aitkhozhin Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Institute of Nuclear Physics and other universities and scientific institutes received an opportunity to present your developments to potential business partners.

Scientists of the Biological Faculty of KazNU presented a project of biologically active additives based on microalgae. The project manager, Professor Bolathan Zayadany noted that the main innovation of the project is the preparation of safe biological products necessary for many industries. According to the scientist, microalgae and cyanobacteria, which are part of the group of phototrophic microorganisms, are the source of many valuable biologically active compounds. They are useful in obtaining safe biological products in the agricultural, medical, cosmetic and food industries.

In addition, a young scientist of KazNU Asan Abdrahim introduced the startup "GoDays" which is designed to prevent the burnout syndrome of employees. The analytical tool is based on artificial intelligence. "The project will help prevent emotional fatigue and adjust the workload and schedule in accordance with the most effective working time of the employee," the author said.

The exhibition was followed by a plenary session dedicated to the issues of successful partnership between science and business. A round table on the topic "Integration of Science and Business in Modern Conditions" was also organized within the framework of the meeting.
