On November , 2024, within the framework of SDG 4: Quality Education, there was a meeting with the famous translator of poetry from Kazakh into Russian, Kairat Zhanabayev at the Faculty of Philology. During the meeting, thw 4th-year students of "Literary Study" major discussed the translations of the zhyrau heritage into Russian, in particular, Makhambet's poetry. The students exchanged opinions with an experienced translator on the problems of translating poetry, the translator's creative laboratory. At the end of the meeting, the translator gave valuable advice to young literary scholars on what should be taken into account when translating poetry.
