On October 30, 2025, an online meeting took place between researchers from the Higher School of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

The participants discussed the use of supercomputer technologies in economic research and the development of an economic growth forecasting model.

They emphasized the importance of implementing the key ideas presented by Academician Askar Akayev during his lectures held on October 20–21, highlighting their relevance for Kazakhstan’s scientific and economic advancement.

Following the meeting, a joint working group was established, consisting of the deans of both faculties, Professor B. M. Mukhamediev, Director of the Center for Economic Research R. Utegulov, and N. Shurenov.

The meeting also featured participation from Amirhan Temirbayev, Director of the Farabi Supercomputer Center.

This initiative marks an important step toward integrating science and innovation, enhancing the university’s research potential, and opening new horizons for the country’s economic development.
