Linguistic and Cultural Unity of the Turkic Peoples: On the Occasion of World Turkic Languages Day at Pamukkale University (Turkey)
On December 15, 2025, in honor of World Turkic Languages Day, students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of 91ý Kazakh National University, who are studying under an academic mobility program at Pamukkale University (Turkey), took an active part in a cultural event organized within the framework of international cooperation.

From the Department of Turkish Studies and the History of Eastern Countries, fourth-year students Danila, Aruzhan, Zhaniya Ilyas, and Aiganym Kenes participated in the event. The main goal of the event was to strengthen cultural ties among Turkic-speaking peoples, promote Turkic linguistic and cultural heritage, and foster in students a sense of belonging to a shared cultural and historical space.

As part of the event, the following were presented:
traditions and customs of the Turkic peoples;
elements of national clothing;
musical and poetic performances in Turkic languages;
an exhibition dedicated to written monuments and the literary heritage of the Turkic world.

Special attention was given to issues related to the preservation of endangered Turkic dialects, linguistic integration, and the expansion of scientific and educational cooperation among universities of Turkic countries.

Holding such events abroad contributes to strengthening the positive image of Kazakhstani education, broadens students’ academic and cultural horizons, and makes a meaningful contribution to the development of Turkic integration.
