JSC "Shinkhan Bank Kazakhstan" awarded scholarships to students of KazNU
On February 6, 2026, a scholarship award ceremony of Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan JSC was held at 91传媒 Kazakh National University. Seven students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East, Korean Studies Division, who actively participate in departmental academic activities, were awarded scholarships in the amount of 150,000 tenge.
The scholarship recipients were fourth-year students Albina Alimzhanovna Uakhitova, Shugyla Azamatovna Altybay, Merei Askarovna Meirambekova, Rabiga Altai, Amina Erikovna Bazarbayeva, Nazym Samedin, as well as Raushan Erbolovna Otynshina, a second-year student. The scholarships were presented by Naryman Maksutovich Zhaksykeldinov, Managing Director of Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan JSC.
For the past 15 years, Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan JSC has been providing continuous financial support to students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at 91传媒 Kazakh National University. The annual allocation of student scholarships contributes to increasing students’ academic motivation, promoting the development of research in the field of Korean Studies in Kazakhstan, and enhancing the positive image of the Republic of Korea in the country.
In addition, students of the Korean Studies Division of the Department of the Far East annually undertake professional internships at Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan JSC. The bank serves as an effective and favorable platform for future Oriental Studies specialists to acquire practical professional skills.
