KazNU and Canon discussed cooperation in the field of AI
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with representatives of Canon in Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by Leonid Lyndin, Head of the representative office in Kazakhstan, and Viktor Slominsky, Manager for South Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in the field of artificial intelligence, new technologies and modern media solutions.
During the meeting, the rector of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, familiarized the guests with the infrastructure and scientific potential of the university, putting forward a number of mutually beneficial strategic proposals. In particular, the idea of opening a specialized division of Canon at the university was initiated, as well as the development of joint educational programs focused on the exchange of experience between students and specialists.
The Rector also focused on the work of the modern KazNU television studio, equipped with advanced equipment, and the issues of personnel training at the Faculty of Journalism. The head of the university noted that the experience of the technology giant will give a new impetus to the professional development of future specialists in the media sphere.
In turn, Leonid Lyndin expressed full support for the announced initiatives. The head of the representative office stressed that establishing a partnership with KazNU is a great opportunity to introduce high–tech solutions into the educational process and strengthen bilateral ties.
