The results of the international winter school on AI have been summed up
The international winter school "Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research" was organized at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University by the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
The event was aimed at the internationalization of science and higher education, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into research activities and the acceleration of digital transformation processes. This initiative is consistent with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular, with priorities such as quality education, support for innovation and strengthening global partnership.

As part of the event, the university was visited by a delegation from Northwestern Polytechnic University, one of the leading technical universities in China. The delegation included professors and students, and the visit itself was regarded as an effective example of academic mobility and scientific diplomacy.
At the opening ceremony, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Timur Imankulov and Head of the Department of Computer Science Nurislam Kassymbek emphasized the strategic importance of international scientific and educational cooperation.

The guests were presented with the university's scientific infrastructure, including the Farabi Supercomputer Center for High-Performance Computing and Big Data Processing, the Farabi Hub for start-ups and technological entrepreneurship, as well as robotics and intelligent systems laboratories. These facilities are a clear confirmation of the university's systematic work to modernize the scientific infrastructure and support innovation activities within the framework of SDG 9. The program of the winter school included lectures, master classes, scientific seminars and practical exercises. The main focus was on the application of artificial intelligence methods in various fields of scientific research.

After intensive discussions and practical exercises, the students were awarded international certificates. The event ended with a cultural program: the members of the delegation got acquainted with the sights of Almaty, which contributed to the further strengthening of intercultural relations.
