Examined the impact of AI on civil proceedings
An international scientific and practical conference on "Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies: new challenges to the civil procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event, organized at the Faculty of Law, was attended by leading legal scholars from Kazakhstan and foreign countries, representatives of the judicial system, members of the legal community and young researchers.

Opening the plenary session, the Dean of the Law Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Ualikhan Akhatov, delivered a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of scientific discussions on the transformation of the civil process and the development of digital legal institutions. "Today, the use of artificial intelligence and analytical technologies opens up new opportunities for improving the effectiveness of justice, but at the same time raises serious questions for legal science and lawmakers about the limits of automating court decisions, protecting human rights and preserving the principles of fair trial",- the dean emphasized.

Leading domestic and foreign scientists delivered scientific reports at the conference.

Talgat Balashov, Head of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law at KazNU, presented an analysis of international experience in the legal regulation of artificial intelligence and the prospects for its application in civil proceedings.
Professor of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law Saltanat Atakhanova made a presentation on the topic "Digitalization of civil proceedings in Kazakhstan: electronic documents and online legal proceedings".

Professor Andreas Steininger (Germany) reviewed the development of Legal Tech technologies and their impact on the transformation of legal practice. Eliza Arzymatova, Doctor of Law (Kyrgyzstan), also shared her scientific experience, highlighting the specifics of introducing digital solutions into the judicial practice of Central Asian countries.
Following the results of the conference, scientific proposals were developed aimed at improving the conduct of civil proceedings.
