Information Session with Students on the AI-Sana Program at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences

From February 11 to 13, 2026, a series of information sessions for students was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of 91ý Kazakh National University. The meetings were dedicated to issues of digitalization and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies in higher education, as well as to the implementation of the AI-Sana program.

As part of the event, Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Affairs Shaken A.Sh. conducted an informational briefing for students on the implementation of the AI-Sana state initiative, which aims to prepare specialists with modern digital competencies and skills in working with artificial intelligence technologies.

Students were introduced to the national policy on digital transformation, the declaration of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, and the opportunities for students to participate in the AI-Sana Academy educational platform, including training in modern AI-related fields.

During the meeting, it was announced that the selection of 100,000 participants for the second stage of the AI-Sana program has begun. The program is a unique acceleration initiative designed to develop artificial intelligence skills and launch DeepTech startups. The training includes practical sessions with international experts from leading universities such as Stanford and MIT, as well as representatives of the Silicon Valley investment community.

Participants of the program will gain practical experience in artificial intelligence — from fundamental concepts to writing code in Python using Google Colab. They will also develop competencies in technology entrepreneurship, innovation project analysis, and startup development.

Special attention will be given to solving real-world industry challenges in sectors such as energy, agriculture, healthcare, finance, and education. The program will conclude with a capstone project, which includes analyzing 240 key questions across 12 stages of startup development. The best projects will be presented in the Peer Gallery, and their authors will have the opportunity to become residents of the Alem.AI innovation ecosystem.

The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences supports national initiatives aimed at the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and actively encourages students to participate in educational and innovation programs focused on developing modern digital competencies and technological entrepreneurship.
