Educational Hour 鈥淣auryz: The Intersection of Astronomy and Mathematics鈥� Held

On March 19, 2026, an educational hour titled “Nauryz: The Intersection of Astronomy and Mathematics” was held at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of 91传媒 Kazakh National University as part of pedagogical practice and the Nauryznama celebration.
The event took place from 15:00 to 15:50 in room MECH 325 for first-year students (group 24-1) of the educational program 6B05402 — Mathematics.
The session was conducted by first-year PhD student of the program 8D05401 — Mathematics, Saule Zhapparova.
During the event, the astronomical foundations of Nauryz, including the spring equinox, and their connection with mathematical principles were discussed. The relationship between scientific and traditional knowledge was also highlighted.
