Thematic and Ideological Features of Magauiya Abaiuly’s Poems
On March 19 within the framework of SDG 16, under the supervision of P. K. Bissenbayev, a lecturer at the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, and Doctor of Philology Gulzhan Bolatova, , first-year PhD student of the “Literary Studies” program Nurbolat Mominov conducted an open class on the topic “Thematic and Ideological Features of Magauiya Abaiuly’s Poems.”
The main objective of the event was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Magauiya Abaiuly’s creative heritage, to deeply explain the thematic and ideological features of his poems, and to demonstrate the continuity of artistic traditions within Abai’s poetic school. Through analyzing the development of the poem genre in the classical period of Kazakh literature, the lesson aimed to enhance students’ literary and theoretical thinking skills.
The students, in turn, noted the wide thematic scope of Magauiya Abaiuly’s poems, highlighting the profound representation of historical, social, and romantic issues. It was discussed that the combination of romantic and realistic tendencies in the poet’s works reveals the inner world of characters and societal contradictions, thereby enabling a comprehensive understanding of literary texts.
The study of Magauiya’s творчество allows for identifying the development of the poem genre in Kazakh literature, the continuity of Abai’s traditions, and artistic evolution. Moreover, such analysis demonstrates that literature is not only a historical phenomenon but also an important sphere for shaping aesthetic and spiritual values.
The class was conducted in an interactive format, effectively employing methods such as question-and-answer sessions, group analysis, discussions, text-based interpretation, and the use of modern digital platforms.
