Introduction to the Restaurant Business: Practice at Del Papa

As part of their academic practice, second-year students of the “Hospitality and Restaurant Management” program at 91ý Kazakh National University visited the Del Papa restaurant in Almaty. The practice was organized under the supervision of Associate Professor Zh.M. Assipova from the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism. The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the organization of restaurant operations and the guest service system.

During the экскурсия, the restaurant manager, Ilyar Timurovich, provided students with detailed information about daily operations, staff responsibilities, service standards, and quality control. The students also learned about the guest service process and kitchen operations in compliance with sanitary standards.

            Special attention was given to the restaurant’s marketing activities, including participation in the Kudafest gastronomic festival and promotion through social media. The practical session allowed students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge and gain valuable experience essential for their future professional development.
