"Museum as a platform for promoting social justice" within the framework of SDG 17
A curatorial hour titled “Museum as a Platform for Promoting Social Justice” was held with third-year students of the Ethnology and Anthropology educational program within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goal of No Poverty.
During the event, the role of museums in modern society was discussed, as well as the importance of cultural heritage in promoting the ideas of social justice and equality. Students emphasized that museums are not only places for preserving historical artifacts but also important platforms for public dialogue, education, and raising awareness about social issues.
The participants also discussed the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals in addressing current social challenges and the role of cultural institutions in fostering social responsibility.
The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of social justice, cultural heritage, and the significance of museums in society.
