The Republican campaign "16 Days Without Violence", which is traditionally held in the country, has started. This action is supported by the UN initiative around the world and is aimed at preventing domestic violence.
Employees of the campus of the 91传媒 Kazakh National University together with employees of the Bostandyk District Police Department of Almaty organize a number of comprehensive preventive measures to form the principle of zero tolerance against violence in society within the framework of the campaign.
In particular, explanatory work was carried out in educational organizations, student houses, public services, shopping and entertainment centers. Citizens were given information memos and advised on the consequences and legal responsibility of domestic violence.
In addition, information and explanatory work is carried out through social networks and mass media, materials are published aimed at improving the legal literacy of the population.
Within the framework of the campaign, the main attention will be paid to the Prevention of violence against women and children, the provision of legal and psychological assistance to them, as well as the strengthening of the institution of the family.
