A 4th-year student of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Saule Qolamsaq, presented her startup project FarabiGreen Point at the youth environmental forum “Farabi GreenCampus: Clean University” and won third place.
FarabiGreen Point is a mobile application aimed at optimizing waste sorting on the university campus. The project is designed to promote environmental culture and support the idea of a green campus.
The main functions of the application include:
- an interactive map for proper waste sorting;
- collecting eco-points through QR codes and using them for campus services;
- weekly eco-challenges and rewards;
- the use of artificial intelligence and smart sensors.
This project helps increase environmental responsibility and supports the university’s sustainable development initiatives.
Through technology and motivation, Saule Qolamsaq aims to create a greener environment and introduce environmentally friendly habits into students’ daily lives. We are pleased to see the dedication and efforts of such active students who care deeply about the future of our country.
