There was a massive campaign to clean up the campus
A university-wide clean-up day was organized at al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the environmental campaign "孝邪蟹邪 覛邪蟹邪覜褋褌邪薪".
The large-scale event was a continuation of the noble initiatives launched within the framework of the decade of &濒补辩耻辞;袧邪褍褉褘蟹薪邪屑邪&谤补辩耻辞;.
The beautification event was attended by teachers and students of 16 faculties, as well as employees of all structural divisions of the university.
The participants cleared the territory of the school campus of foliage and household debris, bringing the surroundings into proper shape. Landscaping works were carried out on the territories of academic buildings and dormitories, and trees were whitewashed. 12 units of special equipment were involved in the clean-up.
Also, during the event, students were taught about the importance of caring for the environment and the culture of waste sorting. The organizers noted that such initiatives foster hard work and a responsible attitude towards nature based on national values in young people.
Batyrbek Kydyrbek, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, who took an active part in the clean-up, stressed: "The cleaning measures initiated during the celebration of Nauryz have placed a great responsibility on us. We treat the university campus as our home. It is the duty of every student to contribute to its prosperity".
2nd year student Aidana Beisengazy also noted the importance of the event.: "Today's clean-up allowed us not only to clear the territory, but also to feel unity and responsibility. By protecting nature, we care about the future of our country".
Landscaping works within the framework of the «孝邪蟹邪 覛邪蟹邪覜褋褌邪薪» campaign will be carried out at the university on a regular basis in the future.
