PAKISTAN’S GENERAL CONSULATE IN ALMATY HELD MEETING WITH STUDENTS

On 9 April 2026, an official meeting with Ms. Rizwana Qazi, General Consul of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Almaty, was held for students of the Urdu Language Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies. During the event, the Consul presented an insightful lecture on the current state and future development of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

The main goal of the event was to deepen students’ professional knowledge, develop their intercultural competence, and expand their understanding of trade, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries. The event aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 “Partnerships for the Goals” and contributed to enhancing students’ experience in international education and cultural exchange.

Pakistani students studying at universities in Almaty also attended the meeting. During the lecture, students learned about ways to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, investment opportunities, and current trends in international collaboration. In addition, certificates were awarded to students who actively participated in the activities organized as part of Pakistan Cultural Days.

Students shared their impressions, noting that such academic events play a significant role in professional development, broadening cultural horizons, and strengthening international cooperation.
