KazNU hosted an inclusive board game championship

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has organized an open championship on board sports games.

The event was attended by children and adults, people with special needs, as well as representatives of government agencies, public organizations and the business community. Such a large-scale format is aimed at strengthening mutual understanding in society and uniting around common values.

The project was implemented jointly with the KazNU Scientific and Practical Center for Inclusive Education, the Center for Social Inclusive Programs Public Foundation, the Balalaroom club and the DeFactoFm portal. According to coach Mikhail Teifel, board games not only develop strategic thinking, concentration and coordination, but also contribute to the establishment of equal relations between all participants.

The organizers expressed confidence that in the future the championship will become an international platform for the exchange of experience. It is planned to further expand the scale and social significance of the project through the involvement of foreign experts and partners.

In parallel with the championship, systematic work is underway to teach schoolchildren board games and develop their cognitive skills. Classes are held in the Almaty BALALAROOM club. The training process is focused not only on achieving athletic results, but also on socialization, strengthening team spirit and the formation of a culture of active recreation.

This KazNU-based initiative opens up new opportunities for the long-term development of an inclusive environment and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among all segments of the population.
