91ý KazNU Summarized the Results of the Section

                        “Current Issues of Judicial Power and Criminal Proceedings at the Present Stage”
       Within the Framework of the “Farabi Alemi” Conference
     On April 9, 2026, 91ý Kazakh National University hosted the section “Current Issues of Judicial Power and Criminal Proceedings at the Present Stage” organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Criminalistics as part of the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scholars “Farabi Alemi.”
     The section became an important academic platform for discussing pressing issues related to the development of judicial power, the improvement of criminal procedure, and the introduction of modern approaches into law enforcement practice. Participants presented research devoted to the problems of evidence law, the digitalization of criminal proceedings, the role of the court and investigation, as well as issues of improving the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
     The competition committee of the section was approved by the order of the dean of the faculty and consisted of four members. The committee was chaired by Doctor of Law, Professor L.Sh. Bersugurova.
Its members included Candidate of Law, Associate Professor A.B. Sharipova and Candidate of Law, Professor G.N. Mukhamadiyeva. The secretary of the committee was Senior Lecturer A.Zh. Zhakysh.
    The presented reports demonstrated the high level of participants’ preparation, the relevance of the selected topics, and the strong interest of young researchers in the in-depth study of contemporary issues in criminal procedure science.
According to the decision of the competition committee, the First Degree Diploma was awarded to Alina Margulan Margulankyzy for her report titled “Digital Traces as a Source of Evidence in Criminal Proceedings.”


Second Degree Diplomas were awarded to Nail Nurdauletovich Imanbaev and Tursynai Serikkyzy Akhmet.


Third Degree Diplomas were awarded to Karina Muratovna Kanaeva, Alua Nurbolovna Karybekova, and Amanzhol Rabatov.


     The work of the section showed that issues of judicial power and criminal proceedings generate strong interest among students, master’s students, and young scholars. The topics of the presented studies reflected the current challenges of legal science and practice, as well as the desire of young researchers to contribute to the development of the legal system and the improvement of criminal procedure mechanisms.
     The holding of this section within the framework of the “Farabi Alemi” conference once again confirmed the high scientific potential of young people, the active research position of students, and the significant role of 91ý KazNU in training a new generation of qualified legal professionals and legal scholars.
