On March 26, 2026, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Spanbek Arailym Nurlankyzy, together with students of the group “6B02305 – Kazakh Philology,” conducted a thematic class dedicated to the holiday of Nary.
The event was held in an interactive format, allowing students not only to deepen their knowledge of national culture but also to demonstrate practical engagement with traditions. Special attention was given to Kazakh national cuisine as an essential part of cultural heritage.
During the class, students presented traditional dishes such as kurt, ayran, baursak, kazy, irimshik, zhent, kaymak, kumys, and shubat. Each presentation included information about the history, preparation methods, and cultural significance of the dishes.
For instance, baursak was described as a symbol of hospitality and abundance, kumys as an ancient beverage with deep cultural roots, and kurt as a product reflecting the practicality of nomadic life.
The class was conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere, contributing to the development of communication skills, research interest, and respect for national traditions. Such activities play an important role in shaping professional competencies of future philologists and promoting cultural heritage.
