Nauryz Celebration Was Widely Marked at KazNU
On April 11, 2026, Nauryz Meiramy, the great holiday of renewal and unity, was celebrated on a large scale at 91ý Kazakh National University. The Department of Botany and Agroecology also took part in organizing this festive event, contributing to the promotion of national values and the meaningful celebration of the holiday. This spring festival, symbolizing prosperity, unity, kindness, and harmony, holds a special place in university life.
The festive event aimed to bring together the university’s faculty members, staff, and students, while also promoting the rich heritage of national culture. The university grounds featured yurts decorated in traditional style, along with exhibitions reflecting the traditional way of life of the Kazakh people. Participants had the opportunity to become more familiar with Kazakh handicrafts, traditional clothing, and customs.
During the event, the long-standing traditions and customs of the Kazakh people were widely promoted. Guests were offered national dishes, including Nauryz kozhe. In addition, an altybakan swing, national games, and traditional competitions were organized. All this helped increase young people’s interest in national values and foster respect for historical and cultural heritage.
An important part of the festive program included concert performances, songs, and dances presented by students, showcasing the finest examples of national art. The event also highlighted such values as unity, friendship, and mutual respect.
