A senior lecturer of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development Zubova O.A. conducted an open class with first-year students of the educational program «6B05108 – Biomedicine» in the form of the «Climate Fresk» game within SDG 13. Climate Action.

The game was conducted using special game cards. The students were divided into teams: «Ecologists»,«Meteorologists», «Hydrologists» and «Emergency Situations» each of which analyzed the causes and consequences of the environmental problem under consideration, building cause-and-effect relationships and forming a holistic understanding of climate change mechanisms.

Each team presented its own vision of how the situation might develop, modeling scenarios of the impact of climate factors on the environment, public health, and ecosystem resilience. The final stage of the activity was a creative presentation of results, during which students visually and imaginatively presented their conclusions, demonstrating analytical thinking, initiative, and a high level of engagement with the topic of sustainable development.  

Throughout the class, students actively participated in teamwork, consistently exploring the key causes and consequences of climate change as a global environmental issue, while reinforcing their knowledge through practical scenario modeling.

The session contributed to the development of environmental thinking, teamwork skills, and interest in sustainable development issues. The game generated strong engagement and lively interest among the students.
