SDG 4,8. How to Effectively Plan a Student Budget?
On April 15, an educational session on the topic “How to Effectively Plan a Student Budget” was held at the Faculty of Pre-University Education with the participation of students from the Department of Pre-University Training. The event focused on improving students’ financial literacy and addressed a relevant modern issue.
The aim of the session was to teach students how to properly plan a personal budget, use financial resources wisely, and prevent financial difficulties. It also aimed to develop responsibility, thriftiness, and a balanced approach to managing income and expenses.
During the event, the concept of a budget and its main components were explained. Students explored sources of income (scholarships, parental support, part-time work) and types of expenses. Effective saving strategies were предложены, along with practical advice on financial planning, avoiding debt, and building savings.
The session was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging active participation. Students analyzed their expenses, identified unnecessary spending, and, through group work, created and presented an “ideal budget.” This helped them apply their knowledge in practice.
As a result, the objectives were achieved: students understood the importance of financial literacy, learned to plan income and expenses, and developed saving skills.
In conclusion, the event was organized at a high level and contributed to the development of essential life skills necessary for students’ future financial stability.
