At 91ý Kazakh National University, in anticipation of the commemorative date “April 15 – Kozы Korpesh and Bayan Sulu Day,” an art residency titled “KazNU Sakura: A Spring Filled with Emotions” was organized. This cultural and educational initiative was aimed at promoting national values, supporting the creative potential of young people, developing aesthetic appreciation, and widely promoting the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people through contemporary artistic forms.

The art residency took place in an open-air space on the university campus, where the natural environment was harmoniously integrated with the artistic setting. This format created a unique atmosphere in which nature, art, and student creativity merged into a single expressive space. As part of the event, a large-scale exhibition of student artworks was presented, featuring works in fine arts, graphic design, and contemporary art practices.

The core of the exhibition consisted of creative works dedicated to the Nauryz spring celebration. These works reflected the rich cultural traditions of the Kazakh people, ethnographic motifs, national costume elements, and symbolic representations of seasonal renewal. Special emphasis was placed on themes of unity, harmony, prosperity, and spiritual rebirth. Each artwork demonstrated originality of concept, strong artistic execution, and deep respect for cultural heritage.

In addition to the exhibition, a poetry evening titled “KazNU – A Place Where Emotions Meet” was held as part of the program. Students with a passion for poetry and literary expression participated in the event. They performed both original and classical works addressing universal themes such as love, loyalty, youth, homeland, life values, and the renewal of nature in spring.

The poetry session contributed to the creation of an open and inspiring creative environment, where students could freely exchange ideas, share inspiration, and express their artistic individuality. Furthermore, young authors were given the opportunity to present their works to a wider audience, which played an important role in their creative development and self-realization.

This art residency made a significant contribution to the cultural and social life of the university. It supported the spiritual growth of students, enhanced aesthetic perception, and strengthened interest in national heritage and contemporary art. The project also served as an important platform for nurturing young talents and encouraging their creative expression.

The art residency “KazNU Sakura: A Spring Filled with Emotions” became a vivid symbol of harmony between tradition and modernity, uniting students through art, poetry, and shared cultural values.
