Students of 91ý Kazakh National University took part in the large-scale youth forum “Jas Power: Civic Consciousness in the Age of AI,” held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. This significant event brought together students from higher education institutions across the country and was aimed at enhancing civic responsibility among young people, rethinking values in the era of modern technologies, and developing their intellectual potential. During the forum, particular emphasis was placed on increasing youth civic engagement, encouraging participation in social initiatives, and fostering a conscious outlook on the future.

The primary objective of the forum was to promote legal awareness among students, strengthen environmental responsibility, and widely disseminate moral and spiritual values. Within this framework, a series of lectures and discussions were organized on the topics of “Law and Order,” “Clean Kazakhstan,” and “The Doctrine of a Holistic Individual.” Participants actively engaged in discussions on pressing societal issues and explored modern approaches to addressing them. Special attention was given to the preservation of human values in the context of digital transformation and the rapid development of artificial intelligence, which has become an increasingly relevant global concern.

The forum was closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations. In particular, its content reflected Goal 4 – Quality Education, Goal 13 – Climate Action, Goal 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. It was emphasized that initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education, enhancing legal literacy, and fostering environmental awareness contribute significantly to the achievement of these global objectives.

In addition, as part of the forum, a tree-planting campaign was organized to support environmental initiatives and to cultivate a sense of responsibility toward nature among young people. This initiative corresponded to SDG 13 and contributed to strengthening environmental protection culture. Furthermore, various sports competitions were held among students, promoting a healthy lifestyle and reinforcing team spirit.

One of the key highlights of the forum was the “IQ Up” intellectual competition, which brought together teams from 25 universities across the country. The competition provided participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, logical thinking, and teamwork skills. As a result, the team representing 91ý Kazakh National University achieved first place, showcasing a high level of preparation and intellectual excellence. This accomplishment once again confirmed the high quality of education and strong academic potential of the university’s students.

Overall, the “Jas Power” forum not only contributed to the intellectual and social development of youth but also fostered global thinking, strengthened civic identity, and encouraged active participation in international initiatives. Such large-scale events play a crucial role in enhancing cooperation among student communities and promoting values oriented toward sustainable development.
