Third-year students majoring in Applied Kazakh Language attended the play “Balam, qashan kelesiñ?” (“Son, when will you come?”), staged at the G. Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theatre for Children and Youth, based on the short story “Ümit üyi” (“House of Hope”) by writer and journalist Saken Sybanbay.

The performance raised issues such as the role of parents in the family, relationships with children, longing, and responsibility, which helped students grasp the importance of the family institution. Moreover, through stage language, they enhanced their linguistic and cognitive abilities, developing skills in text interpretation and understanding implicit meanings as future professionals.

We believe that attending the theatrical performance enabled students not only to strengthen their language competence but also to connect professional training with real-life experience.
