BIOART 2026: Creative Exploration at the Intersection of Science and Art

The foyer on the second floor of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology has become home to the III BIOART 2026 exhibition, titled “Dialogue Between Humans and Nature.” From April 6 to April 30, the faculty space transforms into a platform where scientific thinking meets artistic imagination.
This year’s exhibition represents a profound reflection by the younger generation on the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through their works, young authors communicate ideas of responsible consumption (SDG 12), drawing attention to the conservation of biodiversity in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems (SDGs 15 and 14). The use of both natural and synthetic materials in the installations highlights the fragile balance between technological progress and the preservation of pristine nature.
The exhibition plays a significant role in fostering continuity between secondary and higher education. The display features works by students from various educational institutions, each contributing to the development of future specialists:
• School No. 4 named after A.S. Pushkin (Talgar), Lyceum No. 134, Kadis, and School No. 9 (Almaty) demonstrate a strong connection between classical education and environmental awareness.
• Lyceum No. 4 (Almaty) and Baiterek Science & Technology School present projects where scientific reasoning intertwines with creative exploration.
• The UNESCO Club art studio “Star of David” brings high artistic standards and international humanistic values into biological themes.

For these students, participation in an exhibition hosted at a профиль faculty is an important step in career orientation. Exposure to the academic environment allows them to see biology not merely as a subject, but as a future professional path—as biologists, biotechnologists, or ecologists.
Visitors are invited to take part in shaping the outcome of the exhibition: open voting is организовано via a QR code.

The results will be announced on April 30. This day will offer participants a full immersion into the profession:

• Visits to the biological museum and research laboratories
• Insights into current research направления directly from leading scientists
• Award ceremony for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, along with prizes and certificates

The organizers express their willingness to collaborate through sponsorship scholarships aimed at supporting talented youth who aspire to connect their future with science.

We invite students, faculty members, and guests to visit the exhibition and support future professionals!
