SDG – 4: Psychological Training on Developing Emotional Resilience among Students

A psychological training session was conducted at the Faculty of Philology and Oriental Studies, aimed at developing emotional resilience, self-regulation skills, and supporting students’ adaptation to the university environment during the early stage of their studies.

The training focused on the emotional experiences of first-year students during their adaptation period. Key stress-related factors were discussed, including academic workload, social adaptation, formation of new interpersonal relationships, and changes in daily routines. Constructive ways of responding to emotionally challenging situations were also explored.

Participants reflected on the importance of social support, open and safe communication, and conscious awareness of their emotional reactions. Special emphasis was placed on self-understanding and the ability to recognize one’s internal states during the learning process and interactions with others.

The practical part included interactive exercises aimed at developing self-support skills, managing emotional tension, maintaining internal stability, and strengthening psychological resilience. Students actively participated, shared personal experiences, and reflected on their adaptation process.

The training contributed to strengthening students’ adaptive resources, increasing emotional awareness, and fostering a supportive and psychologically safe educational environment.
