From Motivation to Action: A Path to Success for Students’ Personal Growth

An educational and cognitive event of a psychological orientation was organized at the Department of PPNaCP and a lesson was held on the topic "motivation and action: the role of the student in development" for 3rd year students of the educational program "Electric Power Industry". The event was organized by assistant professor Amrenova A. U. and undergraduates Sali D. S., Abdrakhman S. A., aimed at the personal development of students, increasing their activity in the educational process and the formation of internal motivation to achieve the goal.

The main goal of this lesson was to explain the essence of motivation and show ways to turn it into a real action. At the same time, one of the main tasks was considered to increase students ' interest in self-development, the formation of skills for the effective use of time and training in overcoming psychological barriers.

During the event, the topic of motivation was explained in an interactive format. Students were offered the" 5-Minute Rule " and told that the first 5 minutes of action are enough to start any business. The fact that this approach gives impetus to subsequent actions and helps to reduce the habit of procrastination has been explained by specific examples. In addition, the method of" 5-second life hack " was introduced, and it was shown that it is possible to simplify decision-making by moving to action within 5 seconds from the moment of thought.

One of the most important sections of the lesson was the discussion of the main reasons for the inability to turn motivation into action. In particular, four main factors were considered, such as not setting goals clearly, fear and insecurity, laziness and incorrect time planning. Students analyzed these issues in the course of Group Discussion and suggested ways to overcome them.

In addition, during the lesson, small trainings and game elements were used, and the active participation of students was ensured. The participants shared their thoughts and gave examples from their life experiences. These approaches made it possible to combine theoretical knowledge with experience.

The general atmosphere of the event was free and stimulating. Students kept themselves open and showed interest in new ideas. As a result, this lesson increased their internal motivation and contributed to the fact that they took a confident step towards their goals.
