Student of KazNU, Dias Alimbetov, Becomes a Recipient of the Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation Scholarship
Dias Alimbetov, a third-year student in the Neuroscience program at 91ý Kazakh National University, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation scholarship for young scientists.
This year’s competition was highly competitive: out of nearly 500 talented applicants from across Kazakhstan, only 20 winners were selected. Being among the scholarship recipients is a significant achievement and reflects the high scientific potential of the young researcher.
Dias Alimbetov is an undergraduate research assistant at the Institute of Brain at KazNU, where he is directly involved in research aimed at advancing the understanding of the human brain using neuroimaging methods such as MRI, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), and electroencephalography (EEG). The scholarship will serve as important support for his further professional development.
“For me, it is a great honor to be part of this program. It is not only a recognition of the work done, but also a serious responsibility to continue my research and contribute to the advancement of neuroscience,” notes Dias Alimbetov.
