“Modern Applications of Probability Theory” International Summer School is in progress!
From April 29 to May 12,
the Department of Computational Sciences and Statistics
has brought together participants interested in modern applications of probability theory.
👩🏫 The instructor of the summer school is
PhD, Senior Lecturer Suleimenova Z.I.
🌍 The program brings together students, master’s and PhD students,
young academics, professionals, and school teachers
from local and international institutions.
📚 Participants:
– master the fundamental concepts of probability theory,
– analyze random variables and their distributions,
– understand expectation and variance,
– work with binomial, Poisson, and normal distributions.
💡 In addition,
they develop skills in building probability models
and applying them to real-world problems.
🎯 Theoretical knowledge is reinforced through practical tasks,
enhancing participants’ analytical thinking.
🌱 The summer school aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
— SDG 4: Quality Education and training of professionals;
— SDG 8: supporting professional development and economic growth;
— SDG 17: strengthening partnerships and cooperation.
