Information and awareness campaign 鈥淗ow to recognize a fraudster and avoid becoming a victim鈥�
An awareness campaign aimed at improving legal literacy and preventing fraud was held in the Zhetysu district of Almaty.
As part of the event, the film “Scammers” was screened with the participation of lecturer S.D. Darkhanova and students of Group 114 of the Faculty of Law. The event brought together students, academics, prosecutors, and citizens in an open dialogue.
With the support of the Zhetysu District Akimat, Maxima Shopping Center, and Kinoplexx 5 Maxima cinema, the campaign received wide public attention.
Before the screenings, a video explaining common fraud schemes and ways of protection was shown. Informational leaflets with practical safety tips were distributed to participants.
A survey conducted during the event confirmed the relevance of fraud prevention and the need to improve public legal awareness.
The event contributed to the development of lawful behavior, critical thinking, and trust in legal institutions, directly aligning with SDG 16.
