KazNU held a dialogue with representatives of the judicial system of Korea

A meeting of representatives of the judicial systems of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the meeting, issues of developing legal systems, improving judicial practice and strengthening academic cooperation were discussed.

Opening the event, First Vice-rector of KazNU Yerkin Duisenov, on behalf of the rector of the University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, welcomed the guests and stressed the strategic importance of exchanging professional experience in the context of globalization.

In turn, Lee Hyung-gu, a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea, made a presentation in which he presented the specifics of his country's legal system and spoke about ways to improve the effectiveness of justice. He also analyzed the institutional differences and similarities between the judicial structures of the two countries.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Law of KazNU, Ualikhan Akhatov, presented the scientific potential of the faculty and expressed his willingness to develop joint research and academic mobility programs.

The event was attended by qualified experts and teaching staff, including research judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea Cha Jinseok, representative of the Almaty City Court Meirbek Baigelov and Deputy Head of the Judicial Administration Department for Almaty city Abai Zharylkasyn.

During the visit, a campus tour was organized for the delegation, during which the guests got acquainted with the modern infrastructure of the university, the scientific and educational environment and the training system for future lawyers. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in implementing joint scientific and educational projects and further deepening the partnership.
