On May 6, 2026, a briefing was held at  the scientific library 91ý of Kazakh National University dedicated to the presentation of a collection of books by the renowned American historian Seymour Becker (1934–2020), donated to the Scientific Library of 91ý KazNU.

The briefing was attended by Professor S. Becker's son Jeffrey and daughter Susan, Professor Alexander Semyonov of Amherst College (USA), Professor Marina Mogilner of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Editor-in-Chief of the international journal "Ab Imperio" Ilya Gerasimov, Murat Sazanov, an employee of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York, Dean of the Faculty of History at 91ý KazNU D.S. Baigunakov, Professor of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies at 91ý KazNU G.S. Sultangalieva, Director of the 91ý Library Zh.A. Arekenova, as well as faculty, students and staff of the scientific library of 91ý KazNU.

All speakers emphasized that today's event underscores Farabi Kazakh National University's status as a leading scientific and educational center attractive for international collaboration, demonstrating that the university carefully preserves its intellectual heritage and that Kazakhstani science is part of the global academic community.
