KazNU and Chinese scientists open joint laboratory
The Scientific Center for Medicinal Plant Research at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Tongji Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology jointly launched the Kazakh-Chinese International Laboratory "Assessment of biological activity of Wuhan medicines". This laboratory is located in the city of Wuhan, People's Republic of China.
The new scientific project will strengthen international cooperation in the field of pharmacology, biomedicine and drug research, as well as implement joint scientific projects. In addition, this initiative is aimed at sharing the experience of scientists from the two countries, introducing innovative research methods and improving the professional skills of young researchers.
The opening ceremony of the laboratory was attended by the director of the Scientific Center for Medicinal Plant Research, Professor Janar Jenis, as well as leading specialists and representatives of Tongji Medical and Pharmaceutical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Tongji Hospital.
During the event, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation on the development of research, increasing academic mobility, sharing experiences and improving educational programs.
During the meeting, Professor Janar Jenis made a presentation on modern approaches to assessing the biological activity and effectiveness of medicines, emphasizing the importance of scientific research in this area.
During a working trip to China, the KazNU delegation visited the pharmaceutical plant Humanwell Healthcare (Group) Co., Ltd., got acquainted with modern technologies for the development and production of medicines, as well as the process of introducing scientific results into clinical practice.
KazNU researcher Janar Jenis has also been appointed a member of the editorial board of the Herald of Medicine journal. It is a Chinese scientific journal included in the database of Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations, as well as in the reference book "The Main Journals of China" of the library of Peking University.
