The anniversary exhibition Technovation Girls was held in KazNU
The anniversary event "Technovation Girls Expo: Celebration", dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Technovation Girls Kazakhstan program, was held at the Farabi HUB of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The large-scale event was aimed at promoting gender equality and sustainable development, as well as empowering girls and adolescents in technology, STEM education, and social entrepreneurship.
Tahir Azatuly, Director of the Center for Technology Commercialization and Creative Industry at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He elaborated on the unique innovation ecosystem created at the university and strategic initiatives aimed at supporting young talents.
In addition, representatives of the largest international and domestic companies 鈥� Yandex, KMF and EPAM 鈥� emphasized in their speeches the importance of supporting modern STEM projects.
A Project Expo fair was organized as part of the anniversary exhibition. Its participants presented their IT developments, mobile applications, technological solutions based on artificial intelligence and social innovations. During the exhibition, projects in such areas as healthcare, inclusion, ecology, education, financial literacy and mental health were presented.
The Technovation Girls Kazakhstan program has been implemented in Kazakhstan since 2016. During this time, more than 8 thousand girls from all regions of the country participated in the project, who developed over 500 technological solutions. It is worth noting that Kazakhstani teams regularly demonstrate high results in international finals and prestigious competitions.
Networking meetings were also held within the framework of the event, there were platforms for the exchange of experience and a special Reflection Corner area.
A landmark moment was the presentation of special certificates by the director of the Farabi Tech Hub, Zhomart Zheksenbai, to two teams for participation in the incubation program for the further development of their projects.
