Chinese architects got acquainted with the new campus development plan
Chairman of the Board 鈥� Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received a delegation led by Han Shaolong, member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Director General of the Shandong Institute of Architectural Design.
The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, presented to the honored guests the new facilities that will be built as part of the second stage of the KazNU campus development plan.
"This year, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University turns 92 years old. During the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the university, the second stage of the KazNU campus development plan was approved. As part of the new project, construction of dormitories and three academic buildings has already begun at the university. In the future, it is planned to build a university clinic, a modern technopark, recreation areas, residential buildings for employees and educational buildings",- said the rector.
At the end of the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that KazNU is interested in working together with the Shandong Institute of Architectural Design in the field of construction.
In turn, Han Shaolong spoke about the history and activities of the Shandong Institute of Architectural Design. "The University was founded in 1953. Over its more than 70-year history, the educational institution has implemented various construction projects not only in China, but also abroad. To date, over 7,000 projects have been implemented, and the institute employs more than 1,000 employees. In this regard, we are ready to establish partnerships with KazNU and jointly implement projects",- Han Shaolong said.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to establish a working group and approve a special plan for further cooperation.
