Bridging Generations in Science: An Inspiring Lecture by Professor A.B. Bigaliyev for Students and Young Scholars
On May 25 at 12:00 PM, an educational lecture entitled " Wisdom across generations: lesson from a distinguished mentor" was held in R. 326 of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics as part of а&Բ;Graduation Day.
During the meeting, Professor A.B. Bigaliev shared his many years of experience in science and education and provided students and young scientists with insights into successful professional advices, heritage of scientific research, and professional ethics. A question-and-answer session was also included. This educational meeting, which was of great educational value, increased students' interest in science and contributed to the professional development of future specialists.

Professor A.B. Bigaliev is a scientist who has made significant contributions to the field of genetics in our country. In 1965, he graduated with honors from the Kazakh National Agrarian University with a degree in animal genetics and breeding. In 1969, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of General Genetics of the USSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow.
The scientist pioneered the development of a new scientific field in the republic – ecological genetics – and founded his own scientific school. Under his supervision, 27 candidates, 9 doctors of biological sciences, and 2 PhDs were trained. Today, his students successfully work in various regions of the country, continuing their mentor's legacy.
Professor A.B. Bigaliev tirelessly expanded the horizons of his scientific knowledge and professional experience. In 1996, he completed a research internship in London, UK, with a grant from the Royal Society. He also completed internships at leading higher education institutions in Europe, USA, Iran, South Korea, Japan, and the CIS countries, receiving a number of prestigious international certificates.

The meeting, held as part of a Graduation Day, was of great educational and informative value, leaving participants with vivid and profound impressions.
