Organization of Academic Practice for Students of the Economics Educational Program
From May 25 to June 6, 2026, students of the Kazakh- and Russian-language groups of the 6B04103 “Economics” educational program of the Department of Economics are scheduled to undergo academic practice in accordance with the curriculum. Academic practice is one of the key stages of professional training aimed at combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience and developing the professional competencies of future specialists. During the practice, students will have the opportunity to apply fundamental economic concepts and methods in practice. In addition, they will develop analytical thinking, research skills, and experience in working with professional documentation.
In this regard, on May 25, 2026, the academic practice supervisors D.R. Turarov and A.Zh. Sarsenova held a special meeting with students to explain the procedures for organizing and completing the practice. During the meeting, the main goals and objectives of the academic practice were thoroughly explained. In particular, the importance of practice in adapting future economists to the professional environment and in developing skills in economic analysis, data collection and processing, and working with statistical information was emphasized.
In addition, students were introduced to the content and stages of the practical assignments to be completed during the practice period. They received detailed information about maintaining a practice diary, collecting necessary materials, analyzing data, preparing the practice report, and meeting formatting requirements. Special attention was paid to the rules for preparing the final practice report, including its structure, content, formatting standards, and submission deadlines.
During the meeting, students were also offered topics for independent research projects and were provided with methodological guidance on conducting research work. The relevance and practical significance of each topic were highlighted, and the required structure of the research paper — introduction, main part, analytical section, conclusion, and references — was explained. Furthermore, students were reminded of the importance of observing academic integrity principles, correctly citing sources, and maintaining an academic writing style.
At the end of the meeting, students asked questions of interest and received the necessary guidance and recommendations from the practice supervisors. Such organizational meetings help students better navigate the internship process, increase their sense of responsibility, and contribute to the successful completion of academic practice.
