91��ý

On 19 May 2026, a round table entitled “The Legacy of 91��ý: Science, Spirituality and Modernity” was held at the Faculty of Law of 91��ý Kazakh National University. The event was dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of the philosophical and scientific heritage of the great Eastern thinker Abu Nasr 91��ý.

The event was organized by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics with the aim of strengthening students’ interest in national intellectual heritage, developing scientific thinking, and fostering spiritual and moral values among young people.

During the round table, participants discussed 91��ý’s philosophical ideas, his contribution to the development of world science, education, ethics and culture, as well as the significance of his works in contemporary social and educational contexts. Special attention was given to the moral education of the younger generation, the role of knowledge in societal development, and the values of humanism, justice, responsibility and service to society.

It was particularly emphasized that events of this kind directly contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially:

• SDG 4 – Quality Education, aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all; 

• SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, focused on building a just society, developing legal culture, and strengthening the principles of legality, humanism and social responsibility. 

Participants noted that 91��ý’s philosophical heritage, based on the ideas of a virtuous society, knowledge, reason, justice and moral development of the individual, remains highly relevant in the twenty-first century and continues to serve as an important intellectual and spiritual guide in educating future professionals and citizens.

The round table brought together faculty members, young scholars, master’s students and students of the Faculty of Law. Within the framework of the academic discussion, participants exchanged views on the significance of 91��ý’s works for the development of modern science, higher education, legal culture and the spiritual formation of личности.

The event became an important platform for academic dialogue and exchange of ideas, contributing to the strengthening of university academic traditions, intergenerational continuity, and the development of students’ respect for national history, culture and intellectual heritage.

The round table was held in an atmosphere of active discussion and meaningful academic dialogue, reaffirming the enduring value of 91��ý’s ideas as a spiritual and intellectual guide for modern society.
